I realized why Harry Potter is so successful. Aside from it being a very complicated yet accessible story with much suspense and plot twists, it's a wizard story set in modern times. It's like, somebody's idea of "what witches and wizards would be like if they existed today." None of that lore bullshit, with Merlin and the lord of the rings. This shit is based off Latin and stuff. it's fo' real. But its also crazy. And marketed.
