I was just wondering who they would rather see if they went to Taste Of Chaos '08.
I've listened to more D'espairs Ray than MUCC.
I would just save my money and not go at all.
Mucc definitely ... i don't like d'ray.
mucc, along with the tour's headliner; atreyu, are both garbage.
i'd go for d'espairsray.
let's hope that what happened to mucc at guns n roses wont happen to them at the taste of chaos. :D
mucc, don't really like dray
D'espairsRay for sure..I'm not a big fan of Mucc.
both for sure. i like both of them a lot. but D'espairsRay fits the TOC style a little more. but thats alright.
and Atreyu has been confirmed as the 2008 headliner? you were probably thinking of this past year. to my knowledge the people behind the tour havent confirmed any bands yet, but MUCC and D'espa announced on their websites they were.
No MUCC please
anywhere
until they produce some good new stuff (and I doubt they will)
D'espairs ray is a great band to participate in non-jrock event, with rather solid sound and adequate visuals
D'ray. As I don't really like either , I'd settle for D'ray over whatever Mucc is doing atm.
Holy shit Atreyu is headlining the tour?
The last Atreyu concert I went to had me raped like a back-alley whore :|
Burly white men and small vk girls at one concert...This is more of an orgy than a tour really.
"Atreyu has been confirmed as the headliner for the upcoming 2008 edition of the Taste of Chaos tour. The band is celebrating a big opening week for their major label debut, Lead Sails Paper Anchor which hit #8 on Billboard. "

Couldn't the same be said of all concerts?
I hope one day Ayabie will participate in tour like that.
There will be meat :3
ayabie are dead.
D'espairs Ray over MUCC anyday.

Couldn't have said it better.
alright, well according to Kevin Lyman (Head Of the TOC Tour), Atreyu are no longer headling the TOC. the new headliner is........AVENGED SEVENFOLD! :-X
Kevin Lyman was recently interviewed about TOC 2008 in AP Magazine. During the interview he revealed the tour's current (but unfinished) lineup.
Avenged Sevenfold
Atreyu
Bullet for my Valentine
MUCC
D'espairsRay
Bless the Fall
Underneath (also japanese)
anyone know who Underneath are?
hmm.. it would be cool to see Avenged Sevenfold for a third time, but im sure their set would be drastically different from what i saw them do (both times i saw them were pre-City of Evil music). Atreyu.. would only be cool if they played songs before their newest cd. Bullet for My Valentine is horrible... never heard Bless the Fall. looks like i'd only be really going for MUCC and Despa.
ah finally found out who these guys actually are.
The Underneath is Transtic Nerve's new band name. that or their going by both names.
so to clear that up, Transtic Nerve will be appearing on the Taste Of Chaos 2008 tour.
(a little fact thats most commonly attatched to Transtic Nerve is that they were one of the first indie bands to be signed by hide to work under his LEMONed label.
tour dates have also been posted. you can check them out at;
http://www.jmusicamerica.com/us/schedule-concert.php?id=6318
The fact that Transtic Nerve will be there makes me slightly willing to go. Only slightly. Like say if it were free.
totally going to the March 15th date in Boston.
i was also thinking... MUCC said their new cd will be released in america. and they are on Kevin Lyman's Taste of Chaos tour. Kevin Lyman also owns Warcon Records in america, which released two Dir en grey albums. you thinking MUCC, Transtic Nerve, and Despa will hop on Warcon, too?

that would be too good to be true. i could definately see MUCC and Despairsray on the label, but if Transtic got signed to it... :o
I've never even heard of Transtic Nerve.
Both of them.
Although I didn't like D'espa last album (Mirror), but they are usually good.
Both.
But if I had to choose, I'd take MUCC. : D
Too bad I won't be there... *sigh*
I want to see them both.
BUT, I will admit both Dray and MUCC
have been releasing some soft music
I miss the old albums and harder tunes.
If I could stomach all standing in line with a bunch of dumb hick emo kids. I'd go.
MUCC any day, week, month or year over d'espairs ray.

YEAH!!!!!!
but D'espairsRay is still fucking awesome as hell.
After this album , I'd rather see Despa. I dunno most of the bands of the TOC tour are kinda crap though. Good thing I got free tickets to a couple of shows.

(noting your recently played tracks)
i dunno.... i mean.... even Atreyu and Avenged Sevenfold are better than Korn.
D'espairsRay sounds like shit

Avenged has like 3 good songs imo. Atreyu is good if your into that whiney type of self loathing music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=no7tyW31ekE ).
You either like or dislike korn , to each thier own. Now say if taste of Chaos had real bands on it like Sevendust , or any metal/rock band worth seeing I might actually be interested.
Sevendust? seriously?
i dunno... anything my local "hard rock" radio station plays is pretty shitty. and they are one them bands. i havent listened to a whole cd of theirs, but they always just sounded like a modern nu metal Sepultera.
and if you want good Avenged Sevenfold, listen to their Waking The Fallen album. its so good. their first cd is basically just hardcore, its alright. City of Evil was pretty good music-wise. the drums and guitars are insane, but the lyrics and vocals are decent. their new cd is... shit. but when Waking the Fallen first came out, it was like.. a new revolution in the metal scene for me. it was.. melodic metal without being corny, and also being able to grind faces with the heaviness. just.. i dunno, listen to their song Chapter Four.
and... okay i havent liked Korn in like... 7 years, but their first four albums are still alright in my book. plus without them, we wouldnt have MUCC ;D

I might give Avenged another roundabout. I know the first time I listened through one of thier cds back in the day I didn't like it.
Our local radio when I'm not listeing to FM in the house is utter trash. They keep playing the same crap fall out boy songs over and over. I always thought Sevendust was pretty alright compared to alot of bands out at the time , I bought thier new cd last week , I just havent listened to it yet.
I didn't listen to KoRn for about 3 years until thier last two albums ( I thought take a look in the mirror was utter trash ). I like the more industrial feel they are going twoards now ( seeing as how I listen to more industrial then anything ). I thought thier last two albums were pretty decent. Again though , you either like or dislike KoRn.
Lol , where would MUCC be without spawing from KoRn's nu-metal wake.
The Underneath was really good actually
My shirts all old and faded from that show now.
