Since I'm pretty lazy and I don't really feel like reading a bunch of threads, and checking through the actual thread for the suggestion. If you could please post what you want added to site that will actually benefit the community in someway.

Handle the trolls and the idiocy that runs amok. There's nothing coding-wise IMO that needs to be done. Theres the karma to toy around with, although a full-blown reputation system might be a lot better since you can moderate it a lot more than you can the anonymous karma system but that's only for vbulletin isn't it?

1. take off the rating thing. It's only causing the board to be immature.
2. Maybe add more general discussion areas.
3. This is personal , but update/make pretty the layout. ( that's just me though ).
I did notice some people did have wacky karma like -100 :P But I do agree we do need a new layout and some very active moderators.
There had already been several requests to restore the country flags. It's not really important as such but personally I find it much more interesting to know where everybody comes from than to see if somebody has karma or not.

Active moderators would be a nice thing to have, considering all the moderators I've ever seen get sworn in make an introductory post and then never do shit for months and months. Maybe picking some of the more mature members of the forum that are actually active posters?

I've been suggesting new mods for a while now. While they're all generally nice people, hardly any of them are active though. baka_neko is a pretty active member though.
I'm just saying it might be nice to have some global mods who are already an integral part of the community instead of lurkers and such. People who will build up tonberry, instead of just watch it.

I think the karma system should be taken away since some lame users(you know who you are *coughgewaltcough* seem to like spamming certain users with negative karma. And what is this about inactive mods? I do more than my share.. just not like... power-hungry overmodding.
In my opinion those rating thing isn't really necessary , so if it would be removed I wouldn't miss it ^^" (besides it leads to "negative-karma-spreading", like it was also mentioned by some other users)
anyway, I would like to see country flags as well, because it gives some information onto the different kinds of cultures who are active/registered (xD) here...oh and maybe a share ratio, like in the old days, which possibly could increase the seeding activity of some users (me included xDD"")

Oh, and I also don't see the point to this karma thing. It doesn't really serve a purpose besides causing people to get into hissy-fits over their negatives. I mean if you don't like someone enough to purposely smite (I love that word!) them all the time, knowing that it won't have any effect whatsoever, isn't it better to just PM them and express your hatred or go take it to the Flame Pit? o.o

Also maybe add some more subforums (like batsu) like styling/fashion sections ....itll needto be moderated though.. we dont need another batsu.

The country flags is a nice addition. I myself would like to see upload and download stats (this may have be talked about before), the ability to favorite torrents and the listing of torrents by user.
also how torrents are done could be better oo;

The subsections also needs some descriptions.
Thing I would like:
1#hide dead torrents
2#Top 10 Worst Seeded Torrents at the top of the forum or somewhere else intrusive
3#block abusive torrent clients that slow down transfers, few examples:
BitComet (extremely aggressive client, sometimes doesn't obey private flag).
BitLord (based on an old version of above and full of adware/spyware).
eXeem (announces every 370 seconds)
Shareaza (interferes with some cheat client detection routines).
4#stats :D
well i can post overall torrent stats but per user is harder since it would be per ip
I think it wouldn't be bad to delete dead torrents that had no seeds for - let's say - 6 months or so. It would also stop people from jumping on such torrents and crying for reseeds afterwards. Sometimes I guess it would be easier to just start a new torrent than trying to reseed. But as long as there is still an old torrent in the list - no matter how dead it may already be - nobody may feel tempted to upload the same file again.
Get rid of torrents altogether.

Well, I wouldn't bother to share any large files by ddl's. Small files are okay by ddl but larger files are much more convenient to share as a torrent.
Perhaps there could be a way to integrate the torrents into the forum and/or into the DDLs instead of casting it off like a hated stepchild? Maybe if people uploaded the torrents as attachments and we stopped treating torrents like separate creatures (well..maybe have a separate forum but not like it is now) it could be better.

I think one major problem is that a lot of people do not understand how to download torrents. Maybe it would be good to have a sticky with an easy and simple to understand instruction how to download torrents.
I know there's the help forum and several threads but I remember very well when I started out with torrents all what I read there didn't really make me understand the torrent system and rather confused me more.
Apart from that it's good to have both - torrents and ddl.
i think intergrate torrents + ddl.
like in forums.
i think forums should be like this
sub forums:
[dvd] = for dvd torrents and dvd DDL
[discog] = for discog torrents and discog ddl
[album] = for album torrents and ddl
but when people post the stuff, they need to indicate if its [ddl] or [torrent].
