Could you guys , when you post a link , or whatever. Make an effort to find out some information about the band?

Things like who's in it , what type of music it is , maybe a brief band history , tracklists , or something. Title and format is nice as well. Also make sure things are tagged correctly and organize them right.

If your going to share , share right. I hate seeing links for stuff where someone is just like "I don't know what this is , but here". I don't feel like going on the assumption of what it is without any information involved.

Thanks.

i would also like it if people would put romaji for things unless they don't know them (like certain tracks).  i hate seeing japanese characters and dling it only to figure out i have it once it's downloaded.

Lol i'm a big offender of this xD at least the part about describing it ...mostly because i don't really know alot of the band info...when i first started putting torrents up here i really made the effort to find the info and give long descriptions but now i've just kind of stopped maybe cuz i don't think band info is as important as saying what genre or type of music it is and even though i try i fail at it cuz i just don't get genres and my explainations just plain suck

also i second the romanizing of tracks, that i do ^^ and it's annoying when people don't because depending on what computer i'm on i can't read it >.<

also a lot of indies bands are hard to find info on too, but if ppl could just link the visunavi page that'd be good.  if they're not VK, they're not on there usually tho.  so i dunno about that.

just going like 'this is oshare/vk/jrock/jpopy/punk/metal' would suffice really i think, too.

yea, that's one of the reasons too for sure. if it's not vk or if it's not really popular it's hard to find the info >.<

^ lol

the only one i know of is keikaku.net but that one specializes in bands like number girl, acidman, bloody thirsty butchers, bugy craxone and well basically Indies bands but it doesn't have that many of bands >.< about 60 i believe and about half of those are the more well known of the indies... so that leaves alot of other bands in the crack... so...that's right people get with the naming of sources!

It probaly doesnt help you guys , since I can read japanese , but I use http://www.infoseek.jp to find out info on bands. Or I basically use google.

I never download from this board because people don't say what it is and it's a waste of my time.

Places to look for info:
Visualnavi
Visual Shinibun ( which is now something else ) on Livejournal
Visual Database
JAME/JAME UK/JAME USA ( since those idiots can't keep correct information on all sites )
y! Korea music database ( thier database is really nice D: _
[GOODY X GOODY ]
Yunisan
Jpopsuki forums
Aznmusik forums
Lunchbox forums ( don't know if they are still up , but it's very good )

I also use mixi alot of the time , because they have some really nice informative groups on there. Also Ririsu on LJ , just because it lists release dates and links to informative sites on the release.

Most of the stuff doesn't need a description.

But some stuff deserves it, I agree.

Visual Shinibun ( which is now something else ) on Livejournal

there is no visual shinbun on lj anymore, the comm people go to now for info (visuthread) is maintained by completely different people and they have nothing to do with eachother.

vs moved here though -> http://www.visual-shinbun.net/

I was wondering what happened. I liked it better. Visuthread , I dislike alot of the staff and the layout is far to hard to deal with as far as reading goes. At least I know shinbun is around.
