neo-japanesque music?

So I hadn't heard this term until a few years ago, and it piqued my interest. It's supposed to be a mixture of classical Japanese styles mixed with modern J-rock/VK styles. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
I'd like to hear some more of it, but I don't really know where to even start.
