i've been reading in posts about certain bands, and i've checked them out.......
where do you guys find your mp3s?
i have used:
bittorrent
limewire
sharebear
and even tonberry......
but none have satisfied me.....


i need a good, solid torrent site guys.....
do any of you know of one?

eh i use a mix of resources to get my music it all depends on what your looking for...

i use/have used :
tonberry
black flower music
tokyo-nights (in the past but it's really no good now so don't even bother xD)
jpopsuki  (which is my favorite because not only do they have probably the nicest mixture of different types of music but the seeds there last nice and long xD i left for about a month came back and was able to get everything i missed <3)
mininova (smts)

as for p2p
soulseek
limewire (but really that's only good for the really popular stuff and i don't really use it anymore only when i was first getting into j-music)
also emule is pretty good

browse forums too...there was this one great thread at Jpopmusic forum posted by voodooninjamunky that had tons of stuff >.< soo awesome but as of this weekend or last weekend i think sendspace cracked down on him or smth ...damn peoples ...but often if you look hard enough you can find lots of great things soo yea ~ just use a combo of resources

For someone relatively new to jrock soulseek is probably the best p2p. Room searching the japanese music room or the j-rock room gives you access to a lot of stuff, the people there are mostly non-asian with romanized file names, so...

Haven't used Winny for quite some time so I don't know if it's still there. WinMX ist still  there though, with a patch, and still has a good share of japanese users. Needs some tweaking to display japanese though, and you better have a decent share because it's either trade or wait.

Haven't really tried any other p2p's in years. But bitorrent/forums in connection with soulseek seems like the best option for you.

i don't think i can trust soulseek, mainly becuase of the disclaimer at the beginning of openning it........

What's wrong with the disclaimer? As far as I remember it's just a warning not to trust sites that charge for soulseek (because it's free), and that the client is still in developement.
